Dental Implant Surgical and Prosthetic Continuum for the Beginner and Experienced Implant Surgeon

This course contains the most state-of-the-art and current concepts being used in implant dentistry. The techniques presented and demonstrated are the basis for LONG TERM SUCCESS in implant dentistry reconstruction.

Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

Basic Implant Placement

  • Atraumatic extraction in the aesthetic zone

Implant Placement Continuation

  • Immediate implant placement and provisionalization
  • Ideal depth placement of the platform of the implant within the housing of the bone
  • Multiple implant sites
  • Piezosurgical techniques in periodontal and implant surgical procedures

Sinus Grafting/Socket Lift

  • Treatment planning for sinus grafting procedures
  • Anatomical considerations
  • Current concepts in sinus grafting procedures with autogenous and allogenic bone grafting material
  • Sinus lift versus socket lift

Block Grafting

  • Treatment planning for block grafting procedures
  • Recipient site preparation
  • Appropriate fixation procedures to adequately secure allogenic block to the recipient site

Multidisciplinary Cases

Presented by Dr. Paul Petrungaro

Dr. Paul S. Petrungaro graduated from Loyola University Dental School in 1986, where he completed an independent study of Periodontics at the Welsh National Dental School in the United Kingdom . He completed his residency in Periodontics & has a specialty certificate in addition to a Master of Science degree in Periodontics from Northwestern University Dental School . He is the former Coordinator of Implantology for the university’s Graduate Department of Periodontics. Dr. Petrungaro has been in the private practice of Periodontics and Implantology since 1988, and holds licenses in both Illinois and Minnesota .

An internationally renowned and preeminent educator, he has presented numerous seminars and lectures on advanced periodontal, prosthetic and implant interrelationships, bone regeneration and aesthetic tissue formation, transitional implants, the immediate restoration of dental implants and the use of platelet rich plasma in bone grafting. In addition, he has authored numerous articles on these topics, as well as cosmetic bone grafting and aesthetic implant procedures. A consultant to numerous surgical companies and laboratories,

Dr. Petrungaro serves as a consultant to numerous biomedical companies and laboratories, and has contributed to many new innovations in surgical dentistry. He is a fellow of the International & American College of Dentists, and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
